"I’ve always had a desire to create things, from wood to glass to gun smithing and a few inbetween. I dig getting in my groove at my grinder with little to no plan and witnessing what comes out. There's nothing like finding the knives that are hiding in my bars of steel. I'd rather build the skill and patience of free hand grinding as taught to me by Gil Hibben and give myself limitless potential to do things with a grinder that few can do instead of using jigs and fixtures. Sure, that makes things considerably more difficult but if it were easy I wouldn’t be interested in it. "
Jeff Knox was born and raised in St Louis Missouri, and has always enjoyed making/modifying/fixing things. He’s always had an eye for the unusual which epitomizes his start of collecting sword canes and strange blades at around the age of 10 and his passion, curiosity and hunt for these curiosities has continued to grow throughout his life.
Knox likes creating what he’s never seen and has books full of knife and other product ideas. Two of his early experiments into manufacturing are his very popular “PuppyKnucks” pet tags “Recommended by 1 of 1 Veterinarians, I know”.
