Whats the difference between KnoxKnife and KnoxKnives?
‘KnoxKnife’ is what I mark my custom pieces I personally make in my shop. They are normally one-off art pieces I’ve dreampt up or collaborated with someone to make.
‘KnoxKnives’ are products I personally design and am working with top manufacturing partners in the US and around the world to create.
How long does it take to get a custom piece?
I have had the luxury of a 6 months waiting list for a few years. Ultimately it depends on schedule, workload, and the complexity of the knife. Knoxknife handmade custom knives can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks to make as there is a lot more work going into them than many people realize.
The best thing to do is to simply inquire about the delivery time when you place your order.
What type of steel do I use in my knives?
For handmade custom knives, I may use several types of steel depending on the knife and it’s intended purpose. Most commonly, I use 440C stainless steel, 1095 carbon steel, or Damascus steel made by a handful of US makers.
