Description

For those who appreciate a blade that looks broken-in, battle-tested, and trusted, I designed this aged version to bring depth, grit, and character to the original.

It’s made for those who prefer gear with a story — whether you’re a tactical gear enthusiast, bushcrafter, survivalist, or a collector who values patina over polish. It also speaks to WWII and Cold War reenactors, pirate and post-apocalyptic cosplayers, fantasy weapon fans, and anyone who just doesn’t vibe with factory-fresh shine.

If you like your knife to feel like it’s been there — not just bought yesterday — this one’s for you.

In 2010, with the help of TOPS Knives, we brought to life my modernized version of an OSS-era classic: the thumb dagger.  Now, after two years of dedicated design, development, and prototyping, I’m proud to be producing this updated 2025 version independently. It pays homage to the ingenuity of the original wartime operatives while integrating modern materials and versatile carry options.

Compact, concealable, and mission-ready, this dagger is built to be clipped to a sleeve, pocket, belt, boot, bra garter, or even stitched directly into garments—making it as indispensable today as it was in the hands of WWII spies.

Whether you’re a modern operator, collector of historical-inspired blades, or an enthusiast of discreet tools, this OSS Thumb Dagger delivers unmatched legacy and utility in one compact package.

Forged from legacy.  Made for today.  History, reborn.

The History:

During the early days of World War II, President Franklin D. Roosevelt tasked “Wild Bill” Donovan and Secretary of the Navy Frank Knox with creating America’s first organized intelligence agency — the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the predecessor of today’s CIA.  In close collaboration with the British Special Operations Executive (SOE), they pioneered new weapons and tactics tailored specifically for clandestine missions.  Out of this crucible of innovation emerged the foundations of Close Quarters Combat (CQC), Escape & Evasion (E&E), and Everyday Carry (EDC) strategies still used by elite operatives worldwide.
